Online Counseling Process Begins on August 16, 2024
The schedule for the first round of Rajasthan NEET UG 2024 counseling for MBBS and BDS courses has been officially released on the authorized website on Friday morning, following the NEET UG 2024 entrance exam results.
According to Parijat Mishra, a career counseling expert at Allen Career Institute, the registration process for the first round of counseling will be entirely online. This process will commence on August 16 and will continue until August 21.
During this period, candidates must complete their registration form and pay the required registration fee, which is ₹2,500 for General, General-EWS, and OBC categories, and ₹1,500 for SC and ST categories.
After registration, candidates are required to verify their documents at one of the 16 notified document verification centers. This process will take place from August 17 to August 22.
Candidates must report to the designated center with their original documents and two photocopies. Failure to verify documents within the specified period will result in disqualification from the counseling process.
Candidates who fail to report for verification within the allotted time, whose documents are not verified, or who are found ineligible after verification will not be allowed to participate in the current round of counseling.
These candidates can, however, get their documents verified for the next round according to the prescribed schedule and participate in the subsequent round of counseling if they meet the eligibility criteria.
On August 24, the counseling board will release the state merit list of verified candidates. This list will include a combined list of General, General-EWS, OBC, SC, ST, Tribal ST, and PwD candidates, along with separate category-specific lists.
• ₹50,000 for General/EWS/SC/ST/STA/OBC/MBC candidates choosing a government seat (MBBS course) in government medical colleges, government society medical colleges, RUHS CMS, ESIC MC, and Geetanjali Medical College (1 seat).
• ₹2,00,000 for candidates selecting a management seat (MBBS course) in government society colleges and RUHS CMS.
• ₹5,00,000 for candidates choosing an NRI seat (MBBS course) in government colleges, government society colleges, and RUHS CMS, and for candidates opting for an MBBS course in private medical colleges.
• ₹10,000 for candidates choosing a BDS course in government dental colleges (RUHS College of Dental Sciences) and private dental college
If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 2 or later and fails to join the allotted institute, their security deposit will be forfeited.
The deposit will also be forfeited if admission is canceled for any reason, such as providing incorrect information during registration or failing to present required documents within the specified time.
In Round 1, candidates who are allotted seats must pay one year’s tuition fee (with the security amount adjusted against the tuition fee) through electronic (online) mode to the NEET UG Counseling Board 2024 bank account.
This fee will then be transferred to the allotted college. Candidates must submit the duly verified receipt of this electronic transaction, original documents, and the required bond at the desk of the allotted college at the time of joining.
• If a candidate joins their allotted seat in any counseling round, the security deposit will be adjusted against the tuition fee payable to the allotted college.
• If the security deposit is neither forfeited nor adjusted against the fee, it will be refunded to the candidate’s bank account after the counseling process concludes.
• If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 1 but does not join the allotted college, they will still be eligible for the next round without forfeiting their security deposit.
• Candidates who participate in Round 1 but are not upgraded in Round 2 or do not participate in Round 2 may resign within two days of the Round 2 result announcement without forfeiting their security deposit. If they fail to do so, they will be considered as participating in Round 2, and the relevant rules will apply.
According to Parijat Mishra, the academic session for this year will begin on October 1, 2024, as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
