14.10 Lakh Students Applied For The First Time
This year, for the first time in the history of JEE-Main, more than 14 lakh 10 thousand students have applied for JEE Main 2024. The application process for JEE-Main, the country’s biggest Engineering Entrance Exam, ended on 4th December.
Such a high number of applications are the highest since the conduct of JEE-Main. Compared to last year, this number was around 8.60 lakh, which is 5 lakh more this year.
According to the JEE Main FAQ issued by NTA, students who have applied for Session-1 can also apply for Session-2 by paying additional examination fee.
Along with this, students who have applied for both Session-1 and 2 together can cancel the application made for the Session-2 examination during correction, but their examination fee will not be refunded.
It has been clarified in the FAQ that during correction, the students who have applied only for BE-B.Tech. , they can apply for B.Arch and B.Planning by paying additional examination fee. But those students who have already applied for all the courses and do not want to appear in these examinations, then the examination fee will not be refunded to such students.
Whereas those students who for some reason have paid the examination fee multiple times during the application and NTA has also received the information about the same, then the payment of additional examination fee to such students will be refunded after the JEE-Main final results.
The Errors In The Application Can Be Corrected From From Today Onwards Till 8 December.
