Third Online Counselling Round to Begin on October 13
The admission process for UG and PG courses at Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) and Marwar Medical University (MMU) has reached a new stage. Now, under the third round of counselling, students will be able to apply without an entrance test. This decision brings relief to candidates who did not participate in the previous entrance exams.
According to education expert of ALLEN Career Institute, the latest notification issued by the RUHS Registrar clarifies that this year, candidates will be offered admission without an entrance test in the third round of counselling.
According to the previous procedure, admission to UG and PG courses was to be conducted through only three examinations—CUET 2025, PG Entrance Test 2025, and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2025. However, candidates who did not appear for these examinations will now be able to apply.
However, such candidates will only be admitted to vacant seats, with priority given to students who have qualified these entrance tests.
According to the schedule released by RUHS, the online counselling process for the third round will begin on October 13th.
As per the schedule, candidates will be able to fill in their choices online from October 13 to 21 to select their preferred college and course. Following this, the university will release the seat allotment result on October 23. Students who receive a seat will be required to report and join their allotted college from October 24 to 28.
Colleges must upload the final list of admitted candidates on the university portal by 5 pm on October 28.
According to expert, this counselling will provide admission to several UG and PG courses offered by RUHS and MMU. These courses primarily include the following:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing)
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Bachelor of Radiation Technology (BRT)
Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology (B.Sc MLT)
Bachelor of Ophthalmic Techniques (B.Sc Ophthalmic Techniques)
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
Masters of Science in Nursing (M.Sc Nursing)
Masters of Science in Medical Education
Masters of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
Masters of Public Health (MPH)
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
PG Diploma in Perfusion Technology
Paramedical PG Courses
Students in medical, paramedical, and nursing fields can apply for these courses.
This third round of admissions is a golden opportunity for students who, for some reason, were unable to appear in the entrance exam. Such candidates can now obtain admission to their desired course without taking the exam, provided there are vacant seats in the respective colleges.
However, it is important to note that students who have qualified the entrance exam will be given priority. This means that if a course has limited seats and candidates from both categories apply, those who clear the entrance exam first will receive admission.
Candidates will need to register online for the third round of counselling between October 13th and 16th by visiting the official website of RUHS.
After this, they will have to fill in their preferred course and college in the choice form from October 13th to 21st. It is important that candidates fill in their preferences carefully, as seat allotment will be based on these choices.
During registration, candidates will have to upload their educational qualifications, identity card, category certificate, and previous session documents.
After seat allotment, candidates will have to Joining Report to their allotted college between October 24th and 28th (by 3 pm). Original copies of all required documents and fees will have to be submitted at the time of reporting.
After verification by the college, students’ names will be included in the university’s Final Admission List, which will be uploaded by 5 pm on October 28th.
Education expert says that removing the entrance exam requirement by RUHS is a “flexible and practical step”. This will benefit many students who were unable to appear for the entrance exam due to some reason.
He said that this decision will ensure “full utilization of seats” in the state’s medical, paramedical, and nursing fields and provide opportunities for deserving students to advance.
The 2025 Rajasthan Medical Counselling Program (JMC) has brought significant relief to students who were unable to appear for the entrance exam. This opportunity to gain admission without taking the exam will be limited to a limited number of seats, but eligible and interested candidates can use it to determine their medical or paramedical career path.
Beginning on October 13th, if students register and update their documents on time, the path to admission is completely open.
This is a crucial process for admission to Rajasthan’s health education institutions, providing students with the opportunity to begin their future afresh.
