Admit Cards Not Issued Even Though Exams are Scheduled Between the 21st and 24th January
As the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Examination are approaching near, several aspirants are in dilemma over admit cards. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again created confusion for JEE-Main 2026 candidates.
The January session of JEE-Main, the country’s largest engineering entrance exam, begins on January 21, 2026, but several students are reporting that their exam dates have been abruptly changed without prior notice.

Students Scheduled for January 21-24 have not received their admit cards
Many students whose exam dates were listed between January 21 and 24 on their city intimation slips have not yet received their JEE Main 2026 admit cards. According to career counseling expert at ALLEN Career Institute, the admit cards were released by the NTA on the afternoon of January 17, but several students are unable to download them.
When these students checked the status on the website, they found that their exam would now be held on January 28th or 29th January, and that admit cards would be issued later. Surprisingly, no official information or notice was issued by the NTA regarding this change in exam date.
The sudden change just before the exam has caused stress for both students and their parents. Students are unclear whether their exam has actually been postponed or if it’s simply a technical issue with the website. The aspirants are concerned that they might miss the exam.

Confusion Surrounding the Issue of Twins
Career Counseling expert explained that the NTA had already collected information related to twins during the JEE Main 2026 application process. Despite this, the admit cards of many twins have been withheld, even though their exam dates were scheduled between 21st and 24th January.
These students’ exams are being shown on different dates. It is suspected that the NTA wants to conduct the exams for both students on the same day and at the same exam centre to avoid any identity confusion. This type of arrangement has been seen in JEE-Main before, but this time, the lack of information has exacerbated the problem.
