Shiksha Sambal Abhiyan – Public Awareness Campaign for Govt. School Students on Use of Mobile Phones & Social Media

LN Maheshwari Parmarth Trust is running the Shiksha Sambal Abhiyan

The LN Maheshwari Parmarth Trust is conducting various programs for the benefit of students. Under the Shiksha Sambal Abhiyan, 126 government school students were provided free NEET coaching, and a Disconnect-to-Reconnect program has now been launched exclusively for government school students.

Under the program, students are being made aware of the use of mobile phones and social media in government schools across the city. As part of the program, psychological counsellors are visiting schools to educate children about the proper use and misuse of mobile phones.

Collaboration of LN Maheshwari Parmarth Trust and ALLEN Sanistha

The program is being conducted by the LN Maheshwari Parmarth Trust in collaboration with Sanishtha, the Emotional Wellbeing Center of ALLEN Career Institute.

Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Head of the School, stated that as part of this program, workshops on mobile addiction and social media awareness were organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhadana, and Government Higher Secondary School, Gopal Mill. Students from grades 9th to 12th participated in the workshop.

Mobile Phone & Social Media Hazards Explained to the Students

ALLEN’s Academic Counselor, Kanchan Thakur, explained the ill effects of excessive mobile phone use and the proper use of social media. She emphasized the importance of avoiding distracting notifications while using the phone.

Before clicking on a link, consider whether it’s useful, as any unnecessary click can waste 15 to 20 minutes. Keep the home screen clean; no social media apps should be on the home screen, as this can lead to immediate use.

Students Should Create Schedule for Phone & Social Media

Students should create a schedule for phone and social media use. Apart from this, keep the phone away while sleeping also, because generally if a person uses the phone while sleeping then he does not know the time. Due to which his sleeping cycle gets affected. He will wake up late in the morning and the schedule of the whole day will also get disturbed.

At the end of the session, Vishal Makwana of ALLEN made the students aware of the Shiksha Sambal Yojana. It is noteworthy that under the Shiksha Sambal Yojana run by LN Parmarth Nyas Trust, 126 students from poor families in Kota are being provided free NEET preparation. Apart from this, arrangements for food and accommodation are being provided free of cost.
