The students of ALLEN Pre-Nurture & Career Foundation Division have once again proved their supremacy with a splendid Performance in IESO 2019 (Stage-1) examination. International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO 2019) Stage- 1 is organised by Geological Society of India.
Sh. Amit Gupta (Vice President, ALLEN Career Institute) said, 7 students of ALLEN PNCF have achieved success in stage 1 and are qualified for Training Camp & Indian National Earth Science Olympiad (INESO). Suvanssh Mahajan, Anuj Jain, Sumeet Anand Gaikwad, Parth Himanshu Patel, Vansh Aggarwal, Pratham K Shah and Adityaraj Patidar are the students who are qualified for IESO Stage-2.
The main aims of the IESO are to encourage students interest and public awareness of Earth Science and to enhance Earth Sciences learning and to enhance Earth Science teaching/learning at the school level. The IESO aims further to foster friendly relationships among young learners from different countries and promoting international cooperation in exchanging ideas and materials on Earth sciences and Earth sciences education.
Earth Science Olympiad involves four stages: (i) National Level Entrance Test (ET) (ii) Training Camp and the Indian National Earth Science Olympiad (INESO) (iii) Pre-Departure Training Camp (iv)Participation in the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO).
In the first stage, all the students have to give National Level entrance test, the top 35 students are chosen for the Training Camp. In this examination, questions related to Earth’s Atmosphere and hydrosphere are asked. All the selected students have to appear in the second stage, in which 18-day training is held in Bengaluru. An Indian team of 4 students is selected for the final stage
