IIT Kanpur to hold JEE Advanced 2025 Exam

The website of the country’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam JEE-Advanced 2025 was released on Tuesday.
This year this exam will be conducted by IIT Kanpur. The biggest update in the information released is that now a student will be able to appear in JEE-Advanced exam three times in three years.
Till now the maximum number of opportunities to give JEE-Advanced used to be two attempts. This will give an additional opportunity to large number of students to make one more attempt for admission in IIT.
Career counseling expert of Allen Career Institute said that on the basis of JEE-Main, the best 2.50 lakh students will be able to appear in this exam.
There will be 10 percent General-EWS, 27 percent OBC-NCL, 15 percent SC, 7.5 percent ST and 40.5 percent open category seats.

Aspirants can take exam for three consecutive years

Students who will appear for class 12 exams in 2023, 2024 and 2025 will be able to appear in JEE-Advanced to be held in 2025.
Those who have passed class 12 or its equivalent exam in 2022 or before will not be eligible to appear in the exam.
Students who have already taken admission in IIT during JoSAA counseling will not be able to appear in JEE-Advanced exam, while students who have qualified JEE-Main and got admission in NIT will be able to appear in JEE-Advanced exam. JEE-Advanced exam is likely to be held on 26 May or 2 June 2025.

Age limit fixed

This year, age limit has also been fixed for JEE-Advanced exam. Only those students who are born after 1 October 2000 will be able to appear in the exam. SC-ST, PWD students have been given a relaxation of 5 years in this age limit, that is, students of this category born after 1 October 1995 will be eligible for the exam.
