Faculty Members meet Students in Hostels for their Motivation and Overall Well-being.
Kota has always remained the epicenter for thousands of students dreaming of cracking entrance examinations, especially IIT-JEE, NEET, and other allied tests.
The task of grooming students both academically and emotionally is entrusted to various stakeholders, including coaching institutes, hostels, paying guest accommodations, and student welfare societies.
The All Student Welfare Society and the non-teaching staff of ALLEN have previously taken the initiative to visit hostels and PG accommodations to meet students and address their grievances for the general welfare.
Now, ALLEN has taken this student care to another level with the Faculty Visit Program, aiming to build a stronger bond between students and faculty/mentors as emotional well-being is very essential to the broader learning process
A Personal Caress from the Gurus
Teachers, who may seem distant inside the classroom, meet students individually in hostels. This strategy allows for candid and casual interactions, free from any kind of pressure of exams, deadlines, etc.
Usually, a team of two faculty members, accompanied by a community policeman, visits hostels to interact personally with students. These visits go beyond academic counseling, addressing emotional and psychological concerns.
Faculty members listen to problems of the students that bridges the communication gap offering students a sense of security and mentorship beyond academics.
Advantages of Teacher-Student Interaction
The primary objective of this initiative is to create opportunities for students to share their concerns, whether academic or personal. Faculty provide guidance, resolve doubts and motivate students to stay focused on their goals. This helps students feel easy and relaxed in a competitive environment.
Faculty Extend Best Wishes for Exams
Beyond addressing students’ concerns, faculty extend their best wishes to students with practical advice on how to approach exam day, including Do’s and Don’ts for effective performance. They also help students manage examination fears with relaxation techniques and motivational tips.
The Kota Cares Model: A Holistic Approach to Student Care
The Kota Cares Model is a holistic approach that aims to create a space where students feel supported and understood. Thereby helping students develop a sense of belonging, manage anxiety, overcome homesickness, and stay motivated while living away from family during their preparation journey.
