Correct Photo in January Session was Considered Wrong in April Session
The photo of students which was considered correct by the National Testing Agency in JEE Main Session – 1, has been rejected in the Session-2. Now NTA is sending emails to the candidates for correction in the photo.
NTA has told the candidates to now again upload the photo with the correct specifications. It is very surprising that the photos which are being rejected now, NTA had released admit cards and results of January session on the basis of such photos.
Photo Correction till 27 March
The candidates had uploaded their photos during the online form filling of JEE Main 2025 January session examination. When the JEE Main 2025 January session examination candidates applied for the online form of JEE Main 2025 April session examination, then no additional photo was sought from them. Now NTA has asked all the candidates of April session to upload their correct photo till 27 March.
80 Percent of the Face Visibility Necessary in Photo
According to the NTA norms, 80 percent of the student’s face and both ears should be visible students’ photo in the application form. The background of the photo should be white.
If the photo is not found in the application form as per these specifications then the form is rejected. NTA has mentioned these specifications in its information brochure.
Form Filled with Old Application Number
When the candidates, who took JEE Main session-1 examination, filled the form for JEE Main session-2 (April Session) examination, then NTA did not allot them new application number.
They did form filling with their session-1 application number only. Now the students, who have received emails from NTA for photo correction, should upload the photo as per the specifications.
Aspirants Should have been Given Info About Photo in January Session Exam
Expert stated that it is possible that the incorrect photo uploaded in the January session of JEE Main 2025 examination might have surfaced during JEE Main 2025 April session application form scrutiny.
NTA should have told the aspirants about the photo correction in the JEE Main January session examination itself. Now the aspirants should upload their correct photo without getting troubled.
