Dress Code, Permitted & Barred Items for JEE Advanced 2023

The JEE Advanced 2023 Examination Will Be Conducted Tomorrow, June 4, 2023 (Sunday)

The JEE Advanced 2023 examination will be held only in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Two three-hour papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) will make up the exam, and it is required for the aspirants to take both of them. Paper 2 will be administered from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, while Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. Total 1.90 lakh candidates have signed up to sit the JEE Advanced 2023 exam.

  • At the examination site, candidates will not be permitted to bring jewellery such as rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains or necklaces, pendants, badges, or brooches. Additionally, open-toed shoes like chappals and sandals are indicated for them.

Things Permitted at the JEE Advanced 2023 Exam Centre

  1. To take the JEE Advanced 2023 exam, candidates must have their admit cards and a valid photo ID card.
  2. Applicants may bring any of the following valid original photo identification documents to the exam: an Aadhaar card, a school, college, or institute ID, a driver’s licence, a voter ID, a passport, a PAN card, and a notarized certificate with a photo.
  3. The only items that may be brought into the exam room are pens, pencils, drinking water in transparent bottles, a downloaded admit card, and an original photo ID card.

Things Barred at Exam Centre

  1. Aspirants will not be permitted inside the exam centre with any printed/blank/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, scales, erasers, geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens/Scanner, wallets, handbags, cameras, goggles, or similar items. They will also be prohibited from using any Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, or other electronic devices.
  2. Anything else that might be utilized unfairly or to conceal communication devices, such as a Bluetooth device, camera, microchip, etc., is prohibited.
