Question Paper of Both the Shift was Difficult

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Paper Ananlysis

The country’s toughest and prestigious engineering entrance exam JEE Advanced 2024 exam concluded on Sunday. The examination was conducted in two shifts, from 9 to 12 in the morning and from 2:30 to 5:30 in the evening. Both the papers were of 180-180 marks which means that the entire paper was of total 360 marks.

According to the feedback received from the students on ALLEN Digital, the difficulty level of JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 1 and Paper 2 was almost the same, that is, both the papers were difficult. However, some students faced more difficulty in solving Paper 1. According to the students, the Chemistry paper was not balanced.

Many questions asked Organic Chemistry were a little difficult. In Physics, more questions were asked from magnetic effect of current and mechanics, thermodynamics and modern physics. Overall Physics paper was normal. Mathematics paper was of easy to moderate level. In Maths, questions were asked from Function, Limit, Definite Integration, Matrix, Probability, Statistics, P&C, Complex Numbers and 3D Geometry.

In JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 2 also, 17 questions were asked from each subject and the paper was average. In comparison to JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 1, mathematics was easier in Paper 2 and calculations were also easier. Physics paper was also easy. However, students found difficulty in doing calculations in some questions.

Questions were asked from all the chapters of Physical Chemistry and these were easy in both the papers. Students faced some difficulty only in one question on radioactivity. The required value of log was not given in it. Inorganic Chemistry was also of moderate level in both the papers. In this, some reactions were also asked from previous years question papers.

Questions were also asked from Block Chemistry. Questions from chemical bonding and coordination chemistry were also asked in both the papers. A Paragraph was asked from Salt Analysis. Decimal questions were not asked in both the papers. The result of the examination will be released on June 9.

Marking Scheme of JEE Advanced 2024

JEE Advanced 2024 Paper-1

The entire paper was of total 180 marks. The total number of questions was 51. That means, 17 questions each were divided into the three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Four single correct questions were asked in Paper 1. In which there was a provision of three marks for correct answer and minus one mark for wrong answer.

There were three multiple correct questions. In which there was a provision of four marks for correct answer and minus two marks for wrong answer. There were a total of six questions of numerical and integer type. In this, four marks will be given for correct answer whereas there was no minus marking for wrong answer.

There were four questions from Match the Column. Which is like single correct questions in a way. In this, if the correct answer is given, the student will get three marks, while there is a provision of minus one mark if the wrong answer is given.

JEE Advanced 2024 Paper-2

Paper 2 also had a total of 180 marks and a total of 51 questions were asked, which were divided into three subjects on the basis of 17 questions each. There were four single correct questions. There was a provision of three marks for the correct answer and minus one mark for the wrong answer.

Three multiple correct questions were asked. In which there was a provision of four marks for the correct answer and minus two marks for the wrong answer. Two paragraphs were also given and two questions were asked from each paragraph.

Three marks will be given for the correct answer whereas there was no provision of minus marking for the wrong answer. Similarly, six non-negative integer type questions were asked. In which four marks will be given for the correct answer whereas there was no provision of minus marking for the wrong answer.
