Many Aspirants Are Likely To Miss The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam Due To The Issues
Numerous students find themselves in a predicament as they may not be able to participate in the January session of the JEE-Main. The cause of this distress stems from issues related to fee payments beyond the stipulated deadline. Many aspirants are grappling with challenges arising from the correction of errors in their JEE-Main Application, which is considered the largest engineering entrance examination in the country.
The gravity of the situation is such that a substantial number of students may be at risk of missing out on the JEE-Main January Examination. This year, a record-breaking 14 lakh-plus students have applied for JEE-Main.
Fees were collected from students at various stages of the JEE-Main application process. Afterward, a confirmation page was issued, instilling confidence in students that their application had been successfully completed.
However, when the National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the correction window post-application, many students surfaced with complaints. Despite possessing the confirmation page, they found that their application fees had not been processed.
Regrettably, by the time this discrepancy was realized, the deadline for fee deposition had already passed, leaving students unable to rectify the situation. Furthermore, these students claim that NTA failed to communicate any information on this matter via email.
Adding to the complexity, instances occurred where fees were initially deposited but later returned by the NTA, without the Students’ knowledge. Many students utilized e-Mitra Centres or third parties for fee payment, and upon receiving the confirmation page, assumed all was well.
However, days later, the fees were returned to the same account without notification. The lack of communication led to confusion, and the students, oblivious to these developments, missed the opportunity to sit for the examination.
With these issues surfacing during the correction phase, students are now grappling with the urgency of paying their fees. Despite efforts to contact the NTA via phone and email, there has been no response. Consequently, affected students are left in a state of uncertainty, questioning whether they will indeed be able to take the exam.
