NTA Circular: JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam Days Reduced

BE-B.Tech Exam Will be Held in 10 Shifts in Five Days

The country’s biggest engineering entrance examination, JEE Main 2024, is going to be held in 333 examination cities across the country and abroad. A circular was issued by the National Testing Agency regarding this examination 12 days before the examination.

In this circular the dates of the examination were revised. As per the circular, the exam dates have been announced, but the days have been reduced. According to the previously issued circular, the JEE-Main 2024 exam was to be held between January 24 and February 1. According to the new circular, the examination for B.Arch will be held on 24th January.

After this, BE-B.Tech examinations will be held on 27, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February. There will be no JEE-Main 2024 exam on 25, 26 and 28 January. In such a situation, BE-B.Tech examination will be conducted in ten shifts in 5 days, whereas this year the number of students applying for JEE-Main has increased by lakhs.

This year more than 14 lakh students have registered themselves for the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam. Compared to last year, more than five lakh students have applied for January JEE Main. In such a situation, due to increase in the number of students appearing in each shift every day, the competition will also become tough.

Last year 8 lakh 60 thousand students had taken the JEE Main 2023 examination in which examination was conducted in 12 shifts in 6 days.

This year the number of examination cities is also almost the same as compared to last year. In such a situation, it is now believed that the number of examination centers may increase.

Right Now the Exam City is Released Only for 24th January

Currently, only the B.Arch and B.Planning examination, which is going to be held in the second shift on 24th January, the advance city of only this examination has been released.

After this, the information about the exam cities for the subsequent dates will be released on the JEE-Main website as per the dates, for which lakhs of students are waiting.
