More Than 1.05 Lakh Students Have Applied So Far
The application process for the January session of JEE Main, the country’s largest engineering entrance exam, is going on.
More than 1 lakh 5 thousand students have applied in the last 4 days. The last date for application is till 22 November.
Confusion of OBC and EWS Category Students Increased
Career Counseling Expert Amit Ahuja of ALLEN Career Institute said that for the first time during JEE Main application, OBC and EWS students have been asked for category certificate ID and issue date along with the name of the officer issuing the certificate.
It is not possible to apply without giving this information. In such a situation, OBC and EWS students are facing great trouble.
All those students are facing the challenge that they have to get their certificate made before applying. Otherwise application without certificate will not be possible, whereas in the past years students had to fill only their category.
Students are also contacting NTA but there is no full response from there, in such a situation students are unable to apply, if now the students also apply for category certificate, then it takes a lot of time in the formalities of getting it made.
In such a situation NTA should give concessions in application to such students as before or find a solution so that students can apply by the due date.
Application linked with Aadhaar Number
Ahuja told that this year the Aadhaar number asked for in the identity proof in the application has been linked with the name of the students in the application.
If the student fills the wrong Aadhaar number and fills the correct name, then the application is not complete and if the student fills the wrong name and fills the correct Aadhaar number, then also the application cannot be completed.
In such a situation, before applying, the student should match his name and date of birth in his Aadhaar card with his 10th and 12th mark sheet so that there is no problem during the application.
