New Crisis is Surrounding Live Photo
The JEE Main 2026 January Session aspirants are troubled due to latest move of the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main 2026 candidates are confused and worried over the issue of student identity and live photo verification.
Students who assumed their applications had been duly accepted are now suddenly receiving emails from the NTA, further exacerbating their difficulties.

Many candidates say they filled the form using their Aadhaar card, uploaded their live photo successfully and their application process was complete but despite this, the NTA is now claiming that the live photo does not match the UIDAI (Aadhaar) record. Such students are now being asked to complete a new process again.

The NTA has now also included students who applied using DigiLocker in this category. These candidates will also have to follow the same process and upload their certificates by January 7, 2026.
This is the most serious and shocking case. A large number of students have come forward who applied using their Aadhaar card, their live photo matched the Aadhaar photo and their application was fully accepted but yet the NTA is now claiming that the face recognition quality of their live photo does not match the UIDAI record.

Even if you have filled out the JEE Main 2025 form correctly and have already verified your Aadhaar, it is still mandatory to check your login details in the current situation.
The NTA is still sending emails, and more students may receive notices in the coming days. The deadline is January 7, 2026, so delaying could be costly. All candidates are advised to regularly check their login details over the next few days and not ignore any new instructions.
