JoSAA Counselling 2024 Registration Begins

JoSAA Counselling 2024 Application Process will be Conducted in 5 Rounds

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has commenced registrations for the 2024 counselling process, starting today at 5 PM.

This year, the seat allocation will occur in five rounds, involving the successful aspirants of both JEE Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024.

The JoSAA counselling process includes application submission, choice filling and locking, seat allocation, and acceptance of seats.

Students can register for the JoSAA counselling process through the official website, josaa.nic.in. This single platform facilitates enrolment in various engineering institutes for candidates who have cleared JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2024.

JoSAA Counselling Process

After completing the registration, candidates must proceed with the choice-filling process, selecting their preferred institutes and engineering streams. Seat allocation will be based on these preferences and the availability of seats at participating institutes.

Eligibility Criteria

• JEE Advanced 2024 Qualifiers: Eligible for JoSAA 2024 counselling.
• Academic Requirements: Candidates must have either 75% in Class XII or be in the top 20 percentile. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the qualifying percentage is 65% for admission into IITs.

How To Register for JoSAA 2024 Counselling

1. Visit the official website, josaa.nic.in.
2. Click on the “JoSAA Counselling Registration” link.
3. Enter your JEE Main 2024/JEE Advanced 2024 application number and password in the new window.
4. Submit the details.
5. Fill out and lock your choices online.

Institutes Participating in JoSAA Registration

JoSAA 2024 includes approximately 118 institutes, comprising IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and others. Successful candidates in the JEE Advanced exam will have the opportunity to secure admission to these prestigious institutions.

1. Class 10 and 12 Mark sheets/Certificates
2. Category certificate (if applicable)
3. PwD certificate (if applicable)
4. Bank details
5. Medical certificate
6. OCI/PIO card (if applicable)
7. Passport/Citizenship certificate (if applicable)
8. JEE Main/Advanced admit card

Counselling Fees

There is no fee for choice filling. However, a seat acceptance fee (SAF) is required:

• SC/ST/PwD categories: Rs 20,000
• General/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS categories: Rs 45,000

Accepted candidates must report to their allocated institute for document verification and completion of admission formalities.
