Final admission at AIR of 36 thousand 965
JEE Main is the biggest engineering entrance exam of the country through which admission is given to 24 thousand 219 seats in 32 NITs of the country.
This year, the highest number of 14 lakh 15 thousand 110 students appeared in the exam as compared to the last five years. More than 2 lakh students participated in the joint counseling of NIT and IIIT.
NIT Jaipur is Malviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur
NIT Jaipur is known as the Malviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. It was established in the year 1963. It was formerly known as Malviya Regional Engineering College (MREC).
NIT Jaipur is fully funded by the Ministry of Education. This year JoSAA counselling was completed in five rounds. According to the data released for the fifth round, NIT Jaipur was the fifth choice of toppers.
NITs of Trichy, Suratkal, and Warangal were the first choices, after that the toppers preferred Allahabad NIT, and NIT Jaipur. NIT Jaipur was chosen in the fifth place.
NIT Rourkela and NIT Calicut were also given priority over NIT Jaipur. NIT Jaipur’s Computer Science branch closed at 4 thousand 711 AIR from All India quota in gender neutral pool quota in open category.
Also, the last branch Metallurgy Engineering closed at 36 thousand 965 AIR.
