Pokran truck driver’s son will become the first doctor of the village

Secured 612 marks in NEET medical entrance examination

Coaching City Kota is giving a brighter future to the country through quality education. Here, such students are being supported for the preparation of engineering and medical entrance examinations, who are far away from the glitters of the city and do not even pursue information about the professional courses. Many such examples are coming out after the declaration of results of the engineering and medical entrance examinations last week. One such student is Abhishek, a student of Dhaulia village in Pokran tehsil of Jaisalmer district, who is going to make his career as a doctor. Abhishek, a student of the Allen Career Institute, has secured 612 marks in NEET-2019 and All India 5305 Rank in general category. Abhishek will be the first doctor not only in Dhaulia village but also in the adjacent villages.

Father drives a truck

Abhishek told that his family lives in Mohangarh. The village comprises of about three hundred houses and houses a population of around thousand people. Abhishek told that his family consists of his parents and his younger brother. Abhishek’s Father Jagdish Vishnoi is eighth passed and drives a truck. The truck is owned by his uncle and he is employed as the truck driver. Mother Pushpa Devi is illiterate and is a housewife. The younger brother Sumit has passed his 12th this year. Apart from this, the government has given land on the border as the family belongs to the low income and has non-permanent means of income. This land in Mohangarh area is about 150 km away from the village. Farming is only possible in the summer season; due to lack of water in winters, farming cannot be done. The family stays there during the cultivation period.

Uncle advised him to study in Kota

I studied in the government school of the village till 8th standard. Uncle works as a lecturer in the government school. He motivated me to study well. After securing 73 percent marks in 10th standard, he suggested me to become a doctor, so I said yes. I did not even know which exam is to be fought or how to prepare to become a doctor. After this, I obtained 85 percent marks in the 12th and during this time, Uncle’s friend advised me to study in Kota. Took admission in Allen Career Institute here. Initially, the rank remained low, but with ALLEN’s support eventually, my performance improved. I prepared for the pre-medical entrance exams in Kota for three years. Due to my circumstances, Allen provided a concession of 70 percent in the fee.

I want to become a teacher now

After getting selected in NEET, I want to take admission at RNT Medical College Udaipur. Have not decided what to do after MBBS, but desires to become a teacher. Just as Allen’s teachers are making the lives of students, in the same manner, I want to be a teacher and help the students of rural areas. There are many talented students in the villages but due to lack of further guidance and lack of counseling, their talent remains unrecognized. Even after bringing good marks, their talent gets wasted and they take on the normal work. I want to bring such students forward.

Talent can be found in the rural areas and ALLEN Career Institute is doing the work of supporting these talents by providing them a platform and environment. Geniuses like Abhishek comes forward to bring education to the rural areas of the country. – Naveen Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute
