कई बार चावल खाकर काम चलाता है परिवार, सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़ाई

भुवनेश्वर/ कटक. ओडिशा के जाजपुर जिले में तारंजिया गांव की बेटी सरोजिनी समल ने नीट क्रेक की है। सरोजनी के लिए यह उपलब्धि अन्य विद्यार्थियों से अलग है, क्योंकि उसके परिवार का हर दिन परीक्षा है। पिता ने मजदूरी कर परीक्षा देते हैं। एलन भुवनेश्वर की छात्रा सरोजिनी समल के घर में पिता जर्नादन समल एवं मां सबिता समल के अलावा दो छोटे भाई हैं। घास-फूस का छप्पर ही घर है। भौतिक संसाधनों के नाम पर टीवी, फ्रिज, कूलर एवं वाहन कुछ भी नहीं है। कच्चे घर की दीवार भी फट चुकी है, जिसमें कई बार कीड़े व सांप आ जाते हैं। पहले पापा मजदूरी करने जाते थे लेकिन, अब उम्र होने से नहीं जा पाते।

एक एकड़ जमीन है, जिससे खाने लायक अनाज बड़ी मुश्किल से हो जाता है। पानी की सुविधा नहीं होने से गांव के कुएं से पानी भरकर लाना पड़ता है। बीपीएल कैटेगिरी होने से बिजली एवं चावल सरकारी की ओर से फ्री मिलते हैं। परिवार की सालाना कमाई बमुश्किल 20-25 हजार रूपए है। इन परिस्थितियों से लड़ते हुए एलन भुवनेश्वर की छात्रा सरोजिनी समल ने 720 में से 605 अंक प्राप्त किए, कैटेगिरी रैंक 3312 है तथा आल इंडिया रैंक 25782 है। सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज मिलने की पूरी उम्मीद है। सरोजनी गांव की पहली डॉक्टर बनेगी।

माता-पिता की लाचारी ने दिखाया सपना

जब मैं 9वीं कक्षा में थी तो मां को थायराइड हो गया। काफी दिनों तक इलाज नहीं मिल पाया। क्योंकि पापा के पास पैसे नहीं थे और हम चाहकर भी कुछ नहीं कर पाए। गांव में इलाज होता नहीं और शहर तक जाने के किराए के पैसे तक हमारे पास नहीं थे। करीब 10 दिनो तक मम्मी घर पर ही पलंग पर रही। बाद में मामा ने मम्मी की इलाज कराया। उस समय अपने माता-पिता की लाचारी देखकर मैंने डॉक्टर बनने का का निर्णय लिया।

तीसरे अटैम्प्ट में मिली सफलता

मैं वर्ष 2019 में 12वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद नीट की कोचिंग करना चाहती थी, लेकिन स्थिति नहीं थी। सेल्फ स्टडी की। खुद के स्तर पर एनसीईआरटी की किताबों का जुगाड़ किया। यूट्यूब पर फ्री क्लासेज व टॉपिक से संबंधित वीडियो देखती थी। नीट का पहला अटैम्प्ट 2021 में दिया, जिसमें 561 मार्क्स प्राप्त किए। इसके बाद मैंने एक मौका और खुद को दिया और नीट 2022 की तैयारी की और 520 हासिल की।

इसके बाद दोस्तों से एलन के बारे में पता चला। मैंने गूगल पर एलन को सर्च किया और एलन कटक की फैकल्टी अजय अग्रवाल से संपर्क किया। उन्हें पूरी स्थिति के बारे में बताया। इसके बाद एलन ने फीस में 90 प्रतिशत की रियायत दी। हॉस्टल एवं खाने की व्यवस्था पूरी निःशुल्क करा दी थी। मैंने कड़ी मेहनत की और नीट 2023 क्रेक कर दिखाया। मुझे ओडिशा के तीनों मेडिकल कॉलेजों में एडमिशन मिल जाएगा। क्योंकि ओडिशा में सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़े बच्चों को 15 प्रतिशत का रिजर्वेशन भी मिलता है।

सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़ाई

जहां सुबह-शाम परिवार का पेट भरना मुश्किल हो, वहां बच्चों की पढ़ाई कराना एक सपना ही है। मेरे माता-पिता 12वीं कक्षा तक पढ़े हैं। वे पढ़ाई का महत्व जानते थे इसलिए स्थिति खराब होने के बावजूद वे जैसे-तैसे कर हमें पढ़ा रहे हैं। सरकारी स्कूल व इंटर कॉलेज तक की पढ़ाई की है। 10वीं कक्षा 86 प्रतिशत एवं 12वीं कक्षा 72 प्रतिशत अंकों से उत्तीर्ण की है।

सिर्फ पांच घंटे सोती थी

दिन-रात एक ही जुनून सवार था कि कैसे भी कर के नीट क्रेक करना ही है। सुबह कोचिंग पढ़ने एलन जाती थी। क्लास खत्म होने के बाद खाना खाकर वापिस इंस्टीट्यूट आ जाती और यहीं पढ़ाई करती थी। प्रश्नों को बार-बार सॉल्व करती थी ताकि स्पीड की प्रेक्टिस हो और डाउट भी ज्यादा से ज्यादा क्लीयर कर सकूं।

नीट की तैयारी कराने में एलन की फैकल्टीज का काफी बड़ा योगदान रहा है। रात में करीब 9ः30 बजे कमरे पर लौटती थी और खाना खाने के बाद सो जाती थी। करीब पांच घंटे सोने के बाद फिर से पढ़ाई में जुट जाती थी। अब एमबीबीएस के बाद मेडिसिन में पीजी करना चाहती हूं।

Fighting against these circumstances, Sarojini Samal, a student of ALLEN Bhubaneshwar, has secured 605 marks out of 720 and secured Category rank 3312 and All India Rank 25782. There is every hope of getting a government medical college. Sarojini will become the first doctor of the village.

The Helplessness of The Parents Showed The Dream

When I was in 9th standard, my mother was diagnosed with thyroid. She could not get treatment for many days. Because Father had no money and we could not do anything even if we wanted to.

There was no treatment in the village and we did not even have the money to travel to the city. For about 10 days, the mother remained at home on the bed. Later, the maternal uncle got the mother treated. At that time, seeing the helplessness of my parents, I decided to become a doctor.

Achieved Success NEET 2023 in the Third Attempt

I wanted to do NEET coaching after passing 12th in the year 2019 but the situation was not there. Did Self-study. Arranged NCERT books at own level. Used to watch videos related to free classes and topics on YouTube. Gave the first attempt of NEET in 2021, got 561 marks. After that I gave one more chance to myself and prepared for NEET 2022 and scored 520. After this, friends came to know about ALLEN.

I searched ALLEN on Google and got in touch with Ajay Agarwal, faculty of ALLEN Cuttack. I told him about the whole situation. After this Allen gave 90 percent concession in fees. Hostel and food arrangements were made completely free of cost. I worked hard and cracked NEET 2023. I will get admission in all the three medical colleges of Odisha since children studying in government schools in Odisha also get 15 percent reservation.

Studying In Government School

Where it is difficult to feed the family in the morning and evening, it is a dream to educate the children. My parents have studied till 12th standard. They knew the importance of education, so despite the bad situation, they are teaching us in whatever way he can. Studied up to government school and inter college. Passed class 10th with 86 percent and class 12th with 72 percent marks.

Only Slept For Five Hours

Day and night there was only one obsession that no matter how hard it is but I want to crack NEET. Would go to Allen for coaching in the morning. After the class was over, she would come back to the institute after having food and used to study here. I would solve the questions again and again so that I can practice my speed and clear my doubts as much as possible.

ALLEN’s faculties have contributed a lot in preparing for NEET. She used to return to the room around 9:30 in the night and used to sleep after having food. After sleeping for about five hours, she used to start studying again. Now after MBBS I want to do PG in medicine.
