दो चरवाहे भाइयों की बेटियां एक साथ बनेंगी डॉक्टर

राजस्थान के छोटे से गांव नांगल तुलसीदास के चरवाहा परिवार की चचेरी बहनें रितु व करीना यादव ने क्रेक की नीट

जयपुर के पास जमवारामगढ़ तहसील में नांगल तुलसीदास गांव के परिवार की किस्मत बदलने वाली है। इस परिवार की दो बेटियों ने इस वर्ष नीट क्रेक की है। यह पहला अवसर है जब परिवार में कोई मेडिकल कॉलेज में जाएगा और डॉक्टर बनेगा। इरादे मजबूत थे इसलिए विपरीत परिस्थितियां भी बाधक नहीं बन सकीं।

रितु यादव ने 645 अंकों के साथ अखिल भारतीय रैंक 8179 और कैटेगिरी रैंक 3027 प्राप्त की है। करीना यादव ने 680 अंक प्राप्त कर आल इंडिया रैंक 1621, कैटेगिरी रैंक 432 प्राप्त की है। अंक प्राप्त किए हैं। इस खुशी के पीछे संघर्ष, कड़ी मेहनत और लगन के साथ-साथ परिवार के प्रति त्याग की कहानी भी है। दोनों बहिनें एलन कॅरियर इंस्टीट्यूट की क्लासरूम स्टूडेंट्स रही हैं। रितु ने दूसरे तो करीना ने चौथे अटैम्प्ट में मेडिकल प्रवेश परीक्षा नीट को क्रेक किया।

बकरियां पालकर चलाते हैं घर

जयपुर के पास जमवारामगढ़ तहसील के इस गांव के निवासी दोनों भाई नन्छू राम यादव एवं हनुमान सहाय यादव अपने-अपने परिवारों के साथ अलग-अलग रहते हैं। रितु के पिता हनुमान सहाय 10वीं एवं मां सुशीला 8वीं कक्षा तक पढ़े हैं। करीब 8-10 बकरियां हैं। रोजाना उन्हें चराने जाते हैं। कुछ दूध बेचते है और बकरियों के बच्चे बेचकर परिवार चला रहे हैं। दूसरा भाई नन्छूराम एवं पत्नी गीता निरक्षर हैं।

उसके पास दो-चार बकरियों के अलावा गाय-भैंस भी है, जिनका दूध बेचते हैं। दोनों की पत्नियां भी घरों के आसपास मौजूद खेतों में काम करने जाती हैं। रितु का घर पत्थरों से बना हुआ है तो करीना का घर आधा कच्चा-पक्का है। राशन कार्ड से खाद्य सामग्री मिल जाती है। जिससे पेट भरने का जुगाड़ हो जाता है।

दोनों भाईयों को बीमारी

दोनों की आर्थिक स्थिति पहले से कमजोर थी। रही-सही कसर बीमारियों ने पूरी कर दी। वर्ष 2002 में रितु के पिता हनुमान सहाय यादव की एक आंख में अचानक समस्या आ गई। परदे की मसल्स कमजोर हो गई थी। लेजर ऑपरेशन कराया था। इससे आंख तो बच गई लेकिन विजिबिलिटी सिर्फ 30 प्रतिशत है।

फिर वर्ष 2011 में दूसरी आंख में भी समस्या आ गई। ऑपरेशन कराया लेकिन रोशनी सौ फीसदी चली गई। दिखने में समस्या होने से काम-धंधे या मजदूरी के लिए कहीं बाहर नहीं आ-जा सकते थे। ऐसे में उनके पास बकरियां चराने के अलावा अन्य कोई उपचार नहीं बचा। जबकि दूसरे भाई नन्छू राम यादव को कुछ समय पहले लंग्स कैंसर ने घेर लिया। फिलहाल उनकी रेडियो थैरेपी हो रही है।

रितु ने ननिहाल में रहकर पूरी की स्कूलिंग

परिवार की स्थिति ऐसी नहीं थी कि बच्चों की पढ़ाई करा सके। दोनों बहनें 8वीं कक्षा तक सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़ीं। इसके बाद रितु ने 9वीं और 10वीं कक्षा अपने ननिहाल में रहकर प्राइवेट स्कूल से पढ़ी। फिर 11वीं और 12वीं अपने ही घर रहकर प्राइवेट स्कूल से की। रितु ने 10वीं कक्षा 85 प्रतिशत तो 12वीं कक्षा 97.2 प्रतिशत अंकों से पास की है। करीना ने अपने ही घर में रहकर पढ़ाई की। उसने 10वीं कक्षा 81 प्रतिशत तो 12वीं कक्षा 83 प्रतिशत अंकों से पास की।

‘बड़े पापा बने सहारा’

दोनों नीट की तैयारी करना चाहती थी लेकिन परिवार उन्हें कोचिंग के लिए बाहर नहीं भेज सकता था। ऐसे में दोनों के ताऊजी यानी ‘बड़े पापा’ ठाकरसी यादव ने परिवार के प्रति अपना फर्ज निभाया और दोनों बहिनों को नीट की तैयारी कराने के लिए एलन कॅरियर इंस्टीट्यूट में एडमिशन दिलवाया और खुद उनकी देखभाल के लिए साथ में रहे।

ठाकरसी साइंस सब्जेक्ट के रिटायर्ड शिक्षक हैं और उन्होनें खुद भी आरपीएमटी का एग्जाम दिया था। हालांकि चयन नहीं हो पाया था। जिसका मलाल उन्हें आज भी है। उनका कहना है कि ‘परिवार की स्थिति ठीक होती और मुझे कोचिंग मिलती तो आज मैं भी टीचर की जगह डॉक्टर होता। मैं नहीं चाहता कि परिवार के बच्चों को पैसों के अभाव में पढ़ाई से वंचित रहना पड़े। मेरी आंखों में इन बच्चों के ही सपने पलते हैं और उन्हें साकार करने के लिए मैं पूरी कोशिश कर रहा हूं।’

असफलता से नहीं घबराई

रितु ने 2021 में 12वीं कक्षा पास करने के बाद सेल्फ स्टडी की और 2022 में नीट का पहला अटैम्प्ट सेल्फ स्टडी कर के दिया। 515 मार्क्स प्राप्त किए। इसके बाद ताऊजी ने उसे एलन में एडमिशन दिलाया। यहां उसकी परफॉर्मेन्स देखकर एलन ने फीस में छूट दी।

करीना ने 2019 में 12वीं कक्षा पास की, इसके बाद 2020 में नीट का पहला अटैम्प्ट दिया जिसमें 440 मार्क्स हासिल किए। फिर दूसरा अटैम्प्ट नीट 2021 दिया और 545 मार्क्स हासिल किए। फिर नीट 2022 में तीसरा अटैम्प्ट दिया और 559 मार्क्स प्राप्त किए। वो लगातार मेहनत कर रही थी इसलिए मैंने उसकी लगन देखकर एलन में एडमिशन दिलावाया। एलन ने करीना को फीस में 75 प्रतिशत तो रितु को 50 प्रतिशत रियायत भी दी।

बाकी भाई-बहिनों को पढ़ा रहे ‘बड़े पापा’

रितु के परिवार में माता-पिता के अलावा एक भाई और बहिन भी है और वे दोनों भी पढ़ाई में होशियार हैं। बहिन अंशिका 12वीं कक्षा एग्रीकल्चर सब्जेक्ट के साथ पढ़ रही है। जबकि भाई आदित्य ने इसी वर्ष 88.7 प्रतिशत मार्क्स के साथ 10वीं कक्षा पास की है। साइंस में पूरे में से पूरे 100 में से 100 तो मैथ्स में 100 में से 98 मार्क्स प्राप्त किए हैं।

Ritu Yadav has secured 645 marks with 8179 AIR and 3027 category rank. While Kareena Yadav scored 680 marks with 1621 AIR Rank and 432 Category rank in NEET Exam 2023. Behind this happiness is a story of struggle, hard work, and dedication as well as sacrifice towards family. Both sisters have been students of ALLEN Career Institute Sikar. Ritu cracked the medical entrance exam NEET 2023 in the second and Kareena in the fourth attempt.

Run The House By Rearing Goats

Both brothers Nanchu Ram Yadav and Hanuman Sahay Yadav live separately with their families in Jamvaramgarh near Jaipur. Ritu’s father Hanuman Sahay has studied up to 10th standard and mother Sushila has studied up to 8th standard. There are about 8-10 goats in the family. They go to graze daily. By selling goat milk and kids of the goats, they are running the family. Second brother Nanchuram and wife Geeta are illiterate.

Apart from two-four goats, they also have cow-buffalo, whose milk they sells. The wives of both also go to work in the fields around the houses. While Ritu’s house is made of stones, Kareena’s house is half-made. Food items are available from the ration card. Due to which there is a makeshift arrangement to fill the stomach.

Illness of Both Brothers

The economic condition of both was already weak. Whatever was left unturned was done by diseases. In the year 2002, Ritu’s father Hanuman Sahay Yadav suddenly developed a problem in one eye. The muscles of the eyes had become weak. Laser operation was done. This saved the eye but the visibility is only 30 percent.

Then in the year 2011, there was a problem in the other eye as well. Got the operation done but the light went 100%. Due to problems in seeing, could not come out for work or wages. In such a situation, he was left with no other treatment other than grazing goats. While the other brother Nanchu Ram Yadav was surrounded by lung cancer some time ago. He is currently undergoing radio therapy.

Ritu Completed Her Schooling While Living in Her Maternal House

The condition of the family was not such that it could provide education to the children. Both sisters studied in government school till 8th standard. After this, Ritu studied 9th and 10th class from a private school while staying in her maternal grandfather’s house. Then did 11th and 12th from private school by staying at my own home. Ritu has passed class 10th with 85 percent and class 12th with 97.2 percent marks. While Kareena studied at her own home. He passed class 10th with 81 percent and class 12th with 83 percent marks.

Uncle Became Support

Both wanted to prepare for NEET Exam but the family could not send them out for coaching. In such a situation, their elder uncle, ‘ Thakarsi Yadav fulfilled his duty towards the family and brought both the sisters to Sikar to prepare them for NEET Exam. Here he got admission in ALLEN Career Institute and himself continued to look after them. Thakarsi is a retired teacher of Science subject and he himself gave the RPMT exam.

However, the selection could not be done. Which he regret even today. He says that ‘If the condition of the family was good and I had got coaching, today I would have been a doctor instead of a teacher. I do not want the children of the family to be deprived of education due to lack of money. The dreams of these children grow in my eyes and I am trying my best to make them come true.

Not Afraid of Failure

Ritu did self-study after passing 12th standard in 2021 and gave the first attempt of NEET in 2022 by doing self-study. Got 515 Marks. After this uncle brought him to Sikar and got him admission in ALLEN. Seeing his performance here, ALLEN waived off the fees.

While Kareena passed class 12th in 2019. After this, she gave the first attempt of NEET in 2020, in which she scored 440 marks. Then gave second attempt NEET 2021 and got 545 marks. Then gave third attempt in NEET 2022 and got 559 marks. She was constantly working hard, so seeing her dedication, I got her admission in ALLEN Sikar. ALLEN also gave concession in fees.

The ‘Elder Father’ is Teaching the Rest of the Brothers & Sisters

Apart from parents, Ritu has a brother and sister in her family and both of them are also intelligent in studies. Sister Anshika is studying in class 12th with agriculture subject. While brother Aditya has passed class 10th this year with 88.7 percent marks. Got total 100 out of 100 in Science and 98 out of 100 in Maths.
