JEE Main Paper Was Average on the First Day
The first session of JEE Main-April 2024, the country’s biggest engineering entrance examination for admission to BE-B.Tech course, started from Thursday. The examination was conducted in computer based mode. Based on the feedback of students and the feedback received on ALLEN Digital, the paper was based on NCERT syllabus.
The level of the paper was much better as compared to the previous session. The difficulty level was easy to moderate. Mathematics calculations were lengthy in both the shifts.

Chemistry
Chemistry paper was easy in the morning shift. In Section 1, questions were asked from all three parts, IOC, OCA and PC. Similarly, in Section 2 also questions were asked from all three parts. The question paper consisted of statement 1-2 and matching list type questions. One question was asked from Chemical Bonding, one question from Salt Analysis, two questions from Electronic Displacement Effect, one question from Basic Strength.
Whereas one question each was asked from Isomerism, Derivative, Organic Compound, Name Reaction, Aromatic Compound, POC, Concentration Term, Redox Reaction, Atomic Structure, Liquid Solution, Chemical Kinetic, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermochemistry and ElectroChemistry. The paper was overall easy in the evening shift. In Section 2, maximum questions were asked from Physical Chemistry. The calculation was easy.

Maths
The Maths paper in the morning shift was of moderate level. The calculations were quite lengthy. In Algebra, two questions were asked from Sequence and Series, one each from Quadratic Equation, Complex Number, Binomial Theorem, P&C, Determinant and Matrix and two from Probability.
In Calculus, one question was asked from Inverse Trigonometric Function, one from Continuing, two from Differential Equations, one each from Area Undercurve and Indefinite Integration. Similarly, three-four questions came from Vector and 3D. In Coordinate Geometry, one question each was asked from Circle, in Conic Section one question each was asked from Parabola and Hyperbola.
Similarly, a question was asked from Statistics. In the evening shift the paper was moderate to difficult. The calculation was quite lengthy. More questions were asked from Vector, 3D and Calculus.

Physics
According to the feedback received from the students, the paper in the morning shift was moderate. From Class 11th Syllabus, one question was asked from U&D, one from vector, two from monotonic motion, one from binary motion, one from circular motion, one from work-energy-power, one from COM, one from rigid body dynamics, thermal expansion, and fluid.
One question each was asked from Mechanics, Surface Tension, Statement Based, Error in Measurement and Gravitation. Similarly, from class 12th syllabus, one question each was asked from GO, Electrostatics, two from Current Electricity, one each from MEC, EMI & EC, EM Waves, Wave Optics, MP2 and Semiconductor while two questions were asked from MP One.
The paper was easy in the evening shift. Questions from almost all topics are covered. A question was based on dynamic resistance in semiconductors. Two questions came from gravity.
