JEE Main 2024 (Session 2) Exam was Held in 2 Shifts on Friday
The first session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main 2024 Session 2 for admission to BE-BTech courses started on Thursday. The exam was conducted in computer based mode.
Based on the feedback of the students and the feedback received on ALLEN Digital, the paper was based on NCERT syllabus. The paper was normal to moderate.

Chemistry
The chemistry paper in the JEE Main Session 2 morning shift on Friday was moderate. Statement and true false statement type questions were also asked in section 1. Some statements in organic chemistry were confusing to the students.
Similarly, in section 2, most of the questions were asked from Physical Chemistry. One question each was asked from Periodic Properties, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Chemistry, Salt Analysis and D Block.
While one question each was asked from IUCPAC, Nomenclature, Electronic Displacement Effect, Reduction of Organic Compound, Name Reaction and Biomolecule and three questions were asked from Aromatic Compound.
While one question each was asked from Atomic Structure, Liquid Solution, Chemical Kinetic, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermodynamic, Thermochemistry and Electro Chemistry. The paper in the evening shift was similar to the morning shift paper.

Maths
According to the feedback received from the students, the paper was of medium level in the JEE Main Session 2 morning shift on Friday. Calculations were quite lengthy. In Algebra, one question each was asked from Sequence and Series, Complex Numbers, Binomial Theorem, Probability, P&C, Matrix and Determinant and Cramer’s Rule.
In Calculus, one question each was asked from Differentiability, Differential Equation, Area Under Curve and two questions were asked from Definite Integration. One question came from Application of Derivative.
While two to three questions were asked from Vector and 3D. Similarly, in Coordinate Geometry, one question was asked from Straight Line, two questions each from Circle and Conic Section (Parabola and Ellipse).
While one question each was asked from Trigonometric Equation, Compound Angle and Statistics. In the evening shift, the paper was longer than the morning shift. In such a situation, it took a lot of time to solve the paper.

Physics
According to the feedback received from the students, in the JEE Main Session 2 Friday morning shift, one question each came from Unit and Dimension and Vector from the syllabus of 11th class.
Two questions came from NLM and one question each came from Kinematics 1 D, Work Power Energy, Moment of Inertia in Rotational Dynamics, Young’s Modules in Elasticity and Kinetics Theory of Gases.
Similarly, one question came from PV graph in Thermodynamics, one question based on statement on surface tension in Fluid Mechanics, one question on Simple Pendulum in Simple Harmonic, one question each on Significant Figures in Gravitation and Error in Measurement.
While from the syllabus of 12th class, one question each came from Electrostatics, Current Electricity and Capacitor, two questions from MEC, one question each from Wave Optics and EM Waves.
Similarly, in Modern Physics, one question was statement based, in Semiconductor, one question was asked on Logic Gates and in EMI, one question was asked on Mutual Inductance. In the evening shift, the paper was easier than in the morning shift.
