बनासकांठा के एसपी ने उठाया संगीता की पढ़ाई का बीड़ा, एलन ने निःशुल्क कोचिंग देकर छात्रा का कॅरियर संवारा

संकल्प दृढ़ है तो सफलता जरूर मिलती है। यह साबित कर दिया है गुजरात के बनासकांठा की बेटी संगीता ने। जिसने मेडिकल प्रवेश परीक्षा नीट में सफलता प्राप्त की है। पिता दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं। कभी मजदूरी मिल गई तो ठीक वरना घर में चूल्हा तक नहीं जलता। ऐसी स्थिति में बच्चों की पढ़ाई-लिखाई दूर की कौड़ी साबित होती है

लेकिन, इसी परिवार की एक बेटी ने परिवार की स्थिति को सपनों के आड़े नहीं आने दिया। उसका संकल्प मजबूत था और उसके सपनों को साकार करने में समाज ने पहल की तो एलन कॅरियर इंस्टीट्यूट अहमदाबाद ने भी हरसंभव सहयोग किया। वहीं बेटी ने भी कड़ी मेहनत की और मेडिकल कॉलेज में एमबीबीएस की सीट पक्की कर ली।

संगीता ने 700 में से 455 मार्क्स प्राप्त किए हैं, कैटेगिरी में 8021 रैंक तथा आल इंडिया रैंक 145934 रही है। अब अपने परिवार की पहली डॉक्टर बनने जा रही है। जब 12वीं कक्षा में थी तो भाई की अचानक मौत हो गई, ये सदमा भी बड़ा था।

रोजाना की दिहाड़ी से चलता है घर

संगीता का परिवार गुजरात के बनासकांठा जिले के थराद तालुका में रहता है, जो कि पाकिस्तान सीमा से सटा हुआ है। परिवार बीपीएल कैटेगिरी में आता है। पिता मेवाभाई हदियाल दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं। खुद का घर है लेकिन, कच्चा बना है। छत भी कच्ची है।

मेवाभाई कभी खेतों पर तो कभी निर्माणाधीन मकानों पर रोजाना के भुगतान के हिसाब से यानी दिहाड़ी मजदूरी करने जाते हैं, जिस दिन मजदूरी मिल जाती है उस दिन खाने की व्यवस्था हो जाती है अन्यथा चूल्हा नहीं जल पाता। कई बार तो परिवार को भूखा ही सोना पड़ता है। मां शारदा बेन गृहिणी है। संगीता की दो छोटी बहनें हैं, जो कि 9वीं और 7वीं कक्षा में पढ़ रही है

सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़ाई

संगीता ने बताया कि पापा की स्थिति ऐसी नहीं थी कि प्राइवेट स्कूल में पढ़ा सकें। इसलिए पांचवीं कक्षा तक गांव के ही सरकारी स्कूल से पढ़ी। इसके बाद मेरे मामा ने कस्तूरबा गांधी बालिका विद्यालय में एडमिशन करवाया। वहां पढ़ाई के साथ रहना-खाना निःशुल्क था।

मैं 8वीं कक्षा तक वहां से पढ़ी और 9वीं कक्षा में पापा की बुआ के यहां चली गई। फिर 10वीं कक्षा थराद के सरकारी स्कूल से की। इसके बाद 11वीं कक्षा में साइंस सब्जेक्ट लेना था। इसलिए घर से करीब 3 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित सरकारी स्कूल में एडमिशन लिया। मैंने 10वीं कक्षा में 72 प्रतिशत तो 12वीं कक्षा में 76.92 प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त किए थे।

एसपी ने की पहल, एलन ने की मदद

संगीता की इच्छा है कि चिकित्सक बनकर गरीबों का इलाज करे लेकिन, परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति अनुकूल नहीं होने से उसे अपना सपना साकार होने की उम्मीद नहीं थी। कुछ लोगों को पता चलने पर उन्होंने मदद के प्रयास प्रारंभ किए गए। जानकारी मिलने पर बनासकांठा के पुलिस अधीक्षक अक्षयराज मकवाणा ने अपनी मां के जन्मदिन पर थराद पहुंचकर संगीता व उसके माता-पिता से मुलाकात की। संगीता ने अपने मन की बात एसपी को बताई। इसके बाद एसपी ने एलन अहमदाबाद संपर्क किया और एडमिशन करवाया। एलन अहमदाबाद ने संगीता को 90 प्रतिशत स्कॉलरशिप दी। शेष 10 प्रतिशत भी एलन की फैकल्टीज व स्टाफ से मिलकर जमा कराई।

हॉस्टल में भी सौ प्रतिशत स्कॉलरशिप मिली, जिसमें एसपी अक्षयराज मकवाणा, एलन अहमदाबाद एडमिन हैड अंकित माहेश्वरी एवं इनके मित्र साकेत शाह ने सहयोग किया। संगीता ने पहला अटैम्प्ट 12वीं कक्षा के साथ सेल्फ स्टडी कर दिया था, जिसमें 300 मार्क्स हासिल किए थे। दूसरे अटैम्प्ट में एलन से तैयारी की और नीट क्रेक कर दिखाया।

प्रतिभाओं को मौका मिलना चाहिए

आर्थिक रूप से मजबूर परिवारों के बच्चे तो अच्छे कॉलेजों या विदेशों में जाकर पढ़ाई कर सकते हैं लेकिन निर्धन परिवारों के बच्चों के सपने साकार नहीं हो पाते। अधिकांश बच्चे पढ़ना बंद कर देते हैं और मजदूरी आदि करने लग जाते हैं। जबकि ऐसे बच्चों की प्रतिभा पहचानकर समाज को उनकी मदद करनी चाहिए। मेरे लिए सौभाग्य की बात है कि इस बालिका के लिए प्रयास किया और उसने निराश नहीं किया। संगीता और उसके परिवार को बहुत बहुत शुभकामनाएं। – अक्षयराज मकवाणा, एसपी, बनासकांठा, गुजरात

Home Runs From Daily Wages

Sangeeta’s family lives in Tharaad taluka of Banaskantha district of Gujarat, which is adjacent to the Pakistan border. The family comes under BPL category. Father Mevbhai Hadiyal is a daily wager. He has a house of its own, but it is a raw house. The roof is also raw (kutcha).

Mevbhai sometimes goes to the fields and sometimes to the houses under construction to work as daily wager, i.e., on the day wages are received, arrangements for food are made, otherwise the food is not cooked in the house. Sometimes the family has to go to bed hungry. Mother Sharda Ben is a homemaker. Sangeeta has two younger sisters, who are studying in class 9th and 7th.

Studying in Government School

Sangeeta told that father’s condition was not such that he could teach us in a private school. That’s why she studied from the government school of the village till the fifth standard. After this, my maternal uncle got admission in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya.

There, living and food were free along with studies. I studied from there till 8th standard and went to my father’s aunt’s place in 9th standard. Then did 10th class from government school in Tharaad. After this, science subject was to be taken in class 11th. For that I took admission in a government school located about 3 kilometers away from home. I scored 72% in class 10th and 76.92% in class 12th.

SP Took The Initiative, and ALLEN Helped

Sangeeta aspires to become a doctor and treat the poor, but she did not expect her dream to come true as the financial condition of the family was not favourable. When some people came to know, efforts were started to help her. On getting the information, Banaskantha Superintendent of Police Akshayraj Makwana reached Tharaad on his mother’s birthday and met Sangeeta and her parents. Sangeeta told her situation to the SP. After this the SP contacted Allen Ahmedabad and got the admission done.

ALLEN Ahmedabad gave 90 percent scholarship to Sangeeta. The remaining 10 percent was also deposited by the faculties and staff of ALLEN. 100 percent scholarship was also received in the hostel, in which SP Akshayraj Makwana, ALLEN Ahmedabad Admin Head Ankit Maheshwari and his friend Saket Shah cooperated. Sangeeta had done self-study with the first attempt in class 12th, in which she had secured 300 marks. In the second attempt, she prepared with ALLEN and cracked it neatly.

Talents Should Get A Chance

Children of financially constrained families can study in good colleges or abroad, but the dreams of the children of poor families do not come true. Most of the children stop studying and start working as labourers etc. While recognizing the talent of such children,
