The dream of small farmer Tejaram Bishnoi and Suman Devi in the village Bhimsar of Ausian Tehsil of Jodhpur is now going to get fulfilled. Kota, that is known to fulfill the dreams of thousands of students every year, is accredited to their son’s selection in JEE Advanced 2017. The family that is entirely dependent on their small farming land of 15 Bigha, will now see their son Baldev Bishnoi enter into the prestigious IIT. Baldev, a student of ALLEN Career Institute, received 7497 ranks in the results of JEE-Advance released on Sunday. His parents are extremely proud and emotional at his achievement. Mother Suman devi is a housewife but has even worked as a NREGA labourer to support her family financially. Baldev is going to be the first child from his Tehsil to go into the IITs.
According to Baldev his parents never compromised on his studies even though living under poor financial conditions. Tey were always worried about his studies and ensured giving him the best of whatever they could. Baldev who studied at a private school of his tehsil scored 72% in his 10th after which his teachers suggested him to go to Kota. His father collected money with the help of his friends and sent him to ALLEN career Institute for the preparation of engineering entrances where the institute waved off his half of fee.
“After coming to Kota, I have seen a lot of improvement in myself. There is everything for students studying here. With the support of the best teachers of the nation, and studying in the company of such good students, I was able to score 81% in my 12th Boards. For the past 3 years, I haven’t used a smart phone or watched television, but have only focused on my studies. I now just want to become a good engineering by studying at the IIT,” says Baldev.
He adds further, “I don’t wish to work outside India. Staying in the country, I want to do something that brings revolution in the field of technology. Baldev has 2 brothers. Big Brother is doing BEd. The younger brother is also studying at the ALLEN Career Institute.
Kota is helping a lot of such students from small villages and poor families fulfill their dreams. Talents are getting a platform in Kota. It is our endeavor that such talent should receive the best possible support from us so that they can reach new heights – Naveen Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute
